Arjen Vaalburg is a direct marketing specialist with an extensive career in direct marketing. Covering all specific aspects of direct marketing; from execution up to and including (direct)marketing strategy and communication planning. Head in the clouds, feet on the ground
During his career, with jobs at several direct marketing specialized companies and agencies, he covered the direct marketing process starting with execution: mailing production, telemarketing, building address lists and customer profiling. More advanced database marketing techniques based on geo-marketingdata, database analysis, customer value based segmentation and client data clustering. Strategic knowledge and skills has been developed by developing direct marketing plans, (e)-CRM programs and communication strategies, designing of creative campaigns, writing creative briefs for both online and offline direct marketing campaigns.
Knowledge management and training
During his career at leading agencies in the Netherlands, he developed direct marketing workshops and trainings for clients and staff on Basic, Intermediate and Advanced level. He has been regional knowledge manager at OgilvyOne, and trained groups as such. Together with his partners of DM Xlerators, he conducts own developed programs and workshops in building and managing brands, and in particular with the use of direct marketing. Examples: Direct Marketing: ‘How to set-up and manage direct marketing projects’ to an international postal organization and ‘how to brief your agency’ for a major bank. He is involved in the advisory board for the Dutch Direct Marketing Congress.
Broad industry experience
Through working for various clients, business-to-consumers, business-to-business as well as non-profit, he is able to tailor training programs to any industry and illustrate theory with recognizable, live examples.
Biography
After study at the Institute of Economics and Marketing (bachelor level), and NIMA-C , he acquired his practical knowledge and experience since 1987 through;
